Pass the Buck!  Winter is the most deadly time of the year, as many house fires are caused by unsafe methods of heating homes. There will be an increase in some home energy sources this winter. In addition, many area seniors, the disabled and households with small critically ill children in the St. Louis region have had high electric bills this past summer.

They are challenged with cooling and natural gas bills, and making choices between eating and heating and their high prescription bills.  Most of our needy recipients would prefer not to accept charity, unfortunately they maybe on fixed-incomes, or dealing with critical health and unemployment issues.  There is also a need for the Missouri and Illinois needy and unemployed to play catch-up on their home heating bills from last winter.

The need to support our charity and utility check-off types is greater than ever. We need your support. Too many needy families have temporarily fallen on hard times. They too need the same wholesome opportunities of having a healthier, safer and warmer winter.

Help us Pass the Buck!  When you give to our winter or summer not-for-profit charity, keep in mind that we are an all-volunteer diverse effort. All administrative costs necessary to run the programs are donated by our board members, so that every dollar you give goes directly to the qualified needy people. Very few charities can make this claim. We partner with about 34 area social service and community action agencies in about 40 Missouri and Illinois counties, including the City of St. Louis to screen qualified applicants.
