Heatupstlouis.org and Hardee’s Rake in the Dough of $955,000.00 So Far During the Annual Hardee’s 24th Rise and Shine for Heat Day
Today, (February 9th at 4:00 P.M.) The bi-state area advocacy, educational and utility charity, Heatupstlouis.org has more than $955,000 so far. That is up by 7% vs. last year’s campaign, which raised about $900,000. This year’s theme was “Have a Heart…Heat a Home.”
Heatupstlouis.org officials also believe the increase of over 765 volunteers helped with smaller donations placed in canisters and aprons during today’s only “Hardee’s Rise and Shine for Heat Day.” Today, Heatupstlouis.org also revealed the 2025 date as Friday, February 14 on Valentine’s Day.
“We are thrilled by the love generated by the public in Missouri and Illinois, and those who made special grants during this time period,” said Ben Turec, Board President of Heatupstlouis.org.
The preliminary results DO NOT reflect canister collections tonight and all weekend through Monday, February 12, in addition to all Hardee’s purchases from the entire menu, leaving extra dough during the weekend’s Hardee’s/Heat-Up Round-Up Campaign. Officials are still asking the public to go online to Heatupstlouis.org for donations or drop off a check or money order to any Commerce Bank.
These funds are targeted to Missouri and Illinois clients who are being challenged with their increasing utility costs.
